2022 NFL Draft Prop Bets

2022 NFL Draft Props I like a lot (1 unit each)

Kayvon Thibodeaux Over 5.5 Draft Position (-136) — Not only have there been NFL evaluators openly criticizing Kayvon Thibodeaux’s handling of the pre-draft interview process, but Thibodeaux doesn’t have nearly the athletic frame that Aidan Hutchinson, Travon Walker, and Jermaine Johnson II do. I think that this over/under will move up considerably before draft night.

Under 4.5 Pac-12 Players Drafted in Round 1 (-140) — The expected 1st round picks from Pac-12 schools are Drake London (USC), Kayvon Thibodeaux (Oregon), Trent McDuffie (Washington), and Devin Lloyd (Utah). The only other Pac-12 player even close to sniffing the 1st round is Washngton’s other cornerback, Kyler Gordon. To me, the 58.333% break-even probability that the -140 odds elicit is considerably less than the true probability that 4 or fewer Pac-12 players get selected in round 1.

Over 4.5 ACC Players Drafted in Round 1 (-108) — Despite the odds being juiced towards the under for this wager, I like the over 4.5 ACC players in round 1 proposition. Ikem Ekwonu (NC State), Jermaine Johnson II (FSU), and Kyle Hamilton (Notre Dame) are nearly locks to go in round 1 of the 2022 NFL Draft. Additionally, Kenny Pickett (Pittsburgh), Zion Johnson (Boston College), and Andrew Booth Jr. (Clemson) are all in 1st round contention. After estimating 1st round probabilities for all of the above prospects, I concluded that there is ~55.52% chance that 5 or more of those 6 players get selected in round 1, making the -108 odds a bargain. Also, I did not even factor in the potential of Sam Howell (UNC) getting his name called in round 1, which has some coordination with the Kenny Pickett probability.
